This gorgeous countryside resort is a 90-minute drive from Mexico City. The property has 25 luxurious rooms and comfortably accommodates 50-70 people. On-site activities include swimming, horseback riding, hiking and yoga. The property is ideal for corporate, yoga/wellness retreats as well as wedding and family events. Day trips to the nearby pyramids and cultural excursions are easy options.
Las Cascadas is beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained. Vegetation includes cactus gardens, mature trees, lush palms and flowering bushes. In addition to a small lake, open fields and views to the surrounding mountains, there’s also the “Cascadas” – a large on-property waterfall.
The main house is the crown jewel of the property. It’s built around a central courtyard with a fountain. From the central courtyard you can enter the large kitchen, formal dining room, 4 guest rooms, library/lounge and check-in office. In the back of the main house is the veranda – a large informal dining area that runs the length of the house. The veranda is a sunny, glass-enclosed room that leads out onto to the deck of the infinity pool and jacuzzi which are solar and gas-heated.
Past the pool are several large stepped terraces that give you a front-seat view of the waterfall and lead to the yoga studio. The studio (which also serves as a multi-purpose room) has floor-to-ceiling windows and a boveda ceiling with glass domes. It is filled with natural light and offers nearly 360º views, as well as a close-up view of the waterfall.
The barn and corrals run along the opposite far end of the property. Between the barn and the main house are the majority of guest quarters, including deluxe rooms and suites, overlooking a lovely small lake and fountain.
Additional structures include the main office, a multi-purpose building that includes offices, storage rooms, a full-service laundry and maintenance area, and two separate one-room casitas.
The Ranch is centrally located between San Miguel de Allende and Teotihuacan, close to the Mexico City – Queretaro Highway. You can also make short trips to nearby Jilotepec and Tula de Allende for dining and shopping. On-site parking is ample.
